5th Anniversary - Record figures
Aberdeen based, office design and fit out firm Active Office Interiors announced record figures at the end of their 5th Anniversary year. The independently owned business reported an excellent year in 2008 which saw them expand their client base UK wide, and an increase of 229% on their turnover from the previous financial year.
The conclusion of a number of high profile projects in 2008 all contributed to the excellent results reported which included the interior design, extensive space planning, fit-out, project management and furnishing of the new, 18,500 square foot, 3rd floor of the Union Plaza development for AGR Petroleum.
In line with this, 2009 has continued positively with the company securing a number of new contracts to the value of £400k.
Set up by Director Alex Nicolson in 2004, the company has gone from strength to strength and has just won a significant contract with Active Air Conditioning to complete the Interior Design layout, Fit-out of storage wall and Furnishings of their £3million new headquarters, currently under construction and due for entry beginning of June, as well as a contract with Robert Gordons Junior School to provide interior design, furniture and soft seating for their senior management offices and break out facilities. A very recent six figure contract with Leiths Group for their new building HQ in Cove has also been awarded following extensive space planning and furniture specification.
With a shortage of available commercial property on the market, many businesses are looking to improve their existing office space rather than undertake a costly and disruptive move to other premises. We've won some excellent and challenging projects and successfully delivered them all, as well as expanding our geographical spread further into the English market which has, in itself, been a major contributing factor in our increased profitability. Last year was a landmark year for us and 2009 is already looking very positive, we have some great new opportunities on the table and we are going into our 6th year with confidence".
